The Evans Family

“We are grateful to The Carpenter Shed, that we have peace in our home again. Our son is flourishing with confidence and new direction. It was the reset he needed while he focused on his mind, body and importantly his spirit. We are communicating again without arguments and working together planning for his future. Have faith that God will use The Carpenter Shed to chisel and mold a work into your son... "For he is God's workmanship.”
Ephesians 2:10

“The Carpenter Shed helped me become a stronger young man both physically and mentally. I was confused on a lot of different aspects of life and I was provided the tools to start making a change. It was amazing to me to learn how similar I was with every other boy there. That made it easy to make friends and more importantly make connections with each other. I was brought closer than I've ever been to God and feeling like I was becoming the best version of me I could be. It takes change to change."

“The Carpenter Shed was a huge blessing for me and truly taught me how to live a life with Jesus as the center. The biggest aspect that stands out is the community that they gave me and then taught me how to grow in. While at Carpenter Shed, I learned to live openly, to pursue my dreams, and above all how to become a man of God. They walked beside me, teaching and showing me examples of how to live a life chasing after Jesus. Even after I graduated and transitioned into living nearby and going to ULM, I still have their community and accountability. Through every slip up, and every success, they've been there beside me, guiding and loving.”

The Staples Family

“Sometimes it’s the most basic principles that change a person’s life.  The Carpenter Shed challenged our son to simply look for who he wanted to be and then find that man in every decision of every day.  They tested his strength so he could find his courage.  They challenged his mind so he could find his foundation.  And they exposed his heart so he could find his true self behind the pain.  The Shed gave our son skills, confidence, community and purpose in the only modality proven since the beginning of time: sacrificial, life on life, relationship.  We highly recommend allowing The Carpenter Shed to help your son uncover the man he truly is.”

The Oswalt Family

In 2019, when my husband and I faced immense fear for our son’s life, we were desperate and emotionally exhausted. Our love for our son, Josh, ran incredibly deep and we held onto him with all our might and fought credulously for him. However, no matter what we tried, it took almost death to learn we were not equipped to save him. After years of fighting a seemingly losing battle, we found ourselves at the mercy seat of God and for the first time ever, we relinquished complete control of our precious son back to Him. Without an iota of doubt, following intensive treatment, I know God led us to Josh Hudnall and the Carpenter Shed. Through the love of God, Carpenter Shed methodically introduced our son back into life. And, not just any life, but one filled with authenticity, courage, hope, and confidence.

And, yes, that road to healing was long and quite bumpy (It’s a real battle!), but the Shed was there all the way: communicating, reassuring, and encouraging. We quickly learned no matter what young men have been through, no matter the lies they believe about themselves, no matter what they’ve done in their past, no matter how grim they believe their future to be, Carpenter Shed pours truth and life back into them. They do not see just the broken parts, but they see each young man through the eyes of God and see hope and potential. At the Shed, we were grateful for the holistic values (body, mind, and spirit) and biblical truths that were poured into Josh. Oddly, we were grateful for the hard times, too, for Josh had to learn how to overcome, to cope, to respond, to think, to plan, to dream, to be selfless, and eventually to love… especially himself. We stand amazed at the aspiring young man he is today. This year, 2023, as Josh walked across the stage, graduating college with honors, I praised God for so many things. And, through those elated tears, I praised Him (again) for Josh Hudnall and the Carpenter’s Shed.

Remember, there is always hope. You just have to choose it! –Susan Oswalt
