Introducing the new Luke and Adam

The last time you saw our characters, they were struggling to advance through adolescence. But after coming to The Carpenter Shed, they learned to become more successful young men.

Late Bloomer Luke

Luke started making better choices and is now the author of his own story. He enrolled at a community college, has realized the value of hard work, and takes pride in his newfound motivation. We now call him “Reliable Luke.”

Reliable Luke

Adopted Adam

Ambitious Adam

Adam reframed his past challenges into a positive by finding role models in our program who showed him what healthy, trusting relationships look like. By fostering connections with a licensed therapist and his development counselor, he discovered that he loves working with his hands and being outside. He’s now looking for a job in construction and goes by “Ambitious Adam.”

Does This Profile Sound Familiar?

We’re here to help. If a young man aged 16–20 in your life or program feels lost and lacks the drive to grow up, they might be right for our community. We treat young men:

  • Struggling with substance use disorders, mental health issues, and failure to launch

  • That lack basic life skills and need help building an independent environment

  • Who are currently in a treatment program and need a place to practice assimilating back into the real world

  • Who struggles with dysregulation, leading to behavioral disruption

  • That need help productively contributing to the community

  • Who need help finding purpose, meaning, and direction

Our program works, but don't take our word for it.

Here’s another story of our process at work.
